Terms of Use

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Welcome to RoutinePals. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the RoutinePals website, web app, and mobile apps (together, the "Service"), operated by the team behind TaskTroll ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

RoutinePals helps families build visual, step-by-step routines for children, with timers, rewards, a feelings board, wake-up alarms, and a caregiver dashboard. The Service is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Children use the Service only within a family account created and supervised by an adult.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, including activity on child profiles you create. Provide accurate information and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Parts of the Service require a paid subscription ("RoutinePals Pro"). We currently offer a monthly plan and an annual plan; current prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. New subscribers receive a free trial as described at checkout; you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.

Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. For web purchases, contact us and we will review refund requests in good faith.

4. Your content

You may add photos, recordings, and other content to your family's routines. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us only the limited license needed to store and display that content to your own family within the Service. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other families' data, reverse engineering, scraping, interfering with the Service's operation, or using it for anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and built-in content (such as routine templates and artwork), belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights other than the limited right to use the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." RoutinePals is a family-organization tool, not a medical, therapeutic, or educational service, and is not a substitute for professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 6–8) survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
